→ Scaled online contribution from 10% to 60% of total new accounts; grew new account opens from 2,000 to 40,000 per month — 20× growth over tenure → Contributed strategic research and competitive analysis that informed the company's shift toward discount brokerage positioning — foundational to the platform's evolution into Angel One → Transformed the mobile app into the highest-ROI acquisition channel — 50% of new users at one-third the paid CAC → Built in-house influencer and creator engine contributing 20% of new accounts at lower CAC than paid channels → Dominated SEO across transactional keywords — 20% of new accounts via organic search at near-zero incremental CAC

What's hard for others but easy for me…

Reading a P&L and calling which marketing spend buys growth vs rents it. Most stop at ROAS. I tie the dollar to contribution margin and payback.

My hot take about working with AI is…

It won't replace marketers, it exposes those who never understood the economics. AI spins up 1,000 creatives. It can't tell you if a channel pays back.

The role I'd take a 20% pay cut for

One where marketing owns a revenue number, not a lead count, and the founder wants to be argued with on unit economics. Real mandate over cash.

The hardest problem I've personally solved...

Rebuilt a loss-making acquisition mix around payback and contribution margin until it made money per customer. Slower topline one quarter, healthier after.

About

17+ years building and scaling marketing engines across e-commerce, fintech, and edtech. Reported directly to founders and CEOs across six senior roles — with board and investor presentations at BrightCHAMPS and TenderCuts. Track record of owning ₹200Cr+ marketing P&Ls, building director-level teams, and driving business-level outcomes. The proof: → BrightCHAMPS: Grew company annual revenue from ₹84Cr to ₹150Cr. Led marketing and pre-sales across 11 markets with a director-level team of 6. → Angel Broking: Took new account opens from 2,000 to 40,000 per month — 20× growth. Research contributed to the platform's evolution into Angel One. → TenderCuts: 2.5× revenue growth and 20× quick-commerce scale before the company ceased operations. → BrightCHAMPS: 9× non-paid revenue growth. Shifted acquisition from 80% paid dependency to balanced channel mix. I operate at the intersection of brand strategy, performance architecture, and P&L accountability — with cross-functional reach into pre-sales, product, and business strategy. Currently advising founders across e-commerce, fintech, and edtech while pursuing my next full-time CMO / SVP Marketing mandate. Open to: Bengaluru · Remote · International
