I believe the right blend of engineering and imagination can bend reality a little closer to what it should be. At Byteforge, we take uncertainty, chaos, napkin sketches, and ambitious science, and turn them into devices that feel natural in your hand, flawless in the real world, and quietly change how you move through your day. Our team of SMEs and technical leaders has shipped 10 million+ units across consumer, medical, aerospace, and industrial products. Sometimes we step in briefly to unblock a team. Other times we stay and build the whole stack (electrical, mechanical, and firmware) through to the factory floor. Projects we enjoy usually involve: - Turning ideas → prototype → production - Complex, interdisciplinary problems with a tangible human impact - Untangling the technical, manufacturing, and regulatory knots that stall a launch Often, I serve as the person a founder can hand their big, hairy hardware problem to. At Byteforge, that shows up as hands-on engineering, a fractional CTO or hardware lead role, or an advisor you can lean on when the decisions matter. Working on physical products? Board Member at Radiant EdTech, Jan 2024 - Present · 2 yrs 9 mos
Lead Electrical Engineer at Lumia™, Feb 2023 - May 2024 · 1 yr 4 mos, Boston, MA, Designed the world's smallest wearable health tracker, and scaled it from prototype to production < 14 months as the first/sole EE. The device is worn on the ear and measures heart rate, blood pressure trend, and cerebral blood flow to auto-detect abnormalities and assist with symptom management for dysautonomia (POTS, ME/CFS, Orthostatic Intolerance, etc.). Led system architecture, electrical design, manufacturing and testing for Lumia 1.
Systems Integration Engineer II, Robots at Nuro, Sep 2022 - Feb 2023 · 6 mos, Mountain View, CA, Nuro develops L5 autonomy powered delivery vehicles. As one of three Systems Integration Engineers, I was responsible for fighting any and all cross-disciplinary fires on the HCI, thermals, and sensing side for the third-generation of robots (R3). Some of my achievements at Nuro are listed below. • Developed systems requirements and integration testing plans for autonomy, thermals, HCI and teleoperations • Defined power architecture and developed test benches for touch, display, RFID, LTE testing in harsh environments
Electrical Engineer at Whoop, Aug 2021 - Sep 2022 · 1 y 1 mo, Boston, MA, Delivered the world’s first Si-anode Li-ion battery for Whoop 4, built up Whoop MG from an idea to prototype Whoop MG: Prototyping, systems-level + circuit design, debug & validation for PPG, SpO2, ECG, blood pressure Developed SOPs and prototypes for human-subject trials; performed data analysis to guide future sensor designs Designed schematic, PCB & test plans for next-gen bio-sensing circuit; delivered +20dB SNR gain in optical system Component selection & testing for microcontrollers (BLE, NFC), motion sensors, bio sensors, charger IC, gas gauge Multilayer HDI design for rigid, flex, rigid-flex PCBAs with DFM principles; managing overseas CMs for fab/assembly Develop SOPs and DOEs for Li-ion battery testing under UN 38.3, UL 2054 & UL 1642; JEITA charging verification
