Boutique consulting/engineering firm that I ran with a small team. Worked on delivering bespoke AI solutions for large companies. Essentially, FDEs for hire on whatever mattered to your company.
Clients included a very large, publicly-listed staffing company. Built recruitment automation pipeline.
Built a front-office and back-office management solution for a $120M fund.
My personal objectives were:
1. Get back to hands-on engineering.
Was coding after 8 years, only had to do it for about 8 months, before the agents were better than me.
2. Learn what businesses really wanted.
The answer sadly was band-aid AI solutions.
3. Find a problem that I can spend the next ten years on.
I did find that, but not through the consulting work.
It was fun while it lasted, but ultimately I realised that Indian Businesses are not betting the house on AI, so it would be a bad move to bet my future on the Indian B2B market. Hence, moved on to the Consumer startup, Innernet.

A not-for-profit funded by Nandan Nilekani to find AI Solutions to India's hard problems. There was some good ai, but mostly great people. Wouldn't have it any other way.
